Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and StackHub ("StackHub," "we," "us," or "our"). They govern your use of our website at stackhub.me, our applications, and related services (together, the "Service").

StackHub is a platform where marketers, product people, and other professionals build portfolios, discover software tools, publish and share "playbooks" and how-to guides, sell content and training, and get hired.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Tell us right away at support@stackhub.me if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the Service or other users.

3. What the Service does

StackHub lets you, among other things:

  • Build a public profile and portfolio.
  • Create, publish, discover, and "fork" (copy and adapt) playbooks and how-to guides.
  • Save and compare software tools and follow affiliate links to them.
  • Buy and sell playbooks, guides, courses, and training.
  • Post and apply to jobs.
  • Access data and features through paid plans.

We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

4. User content

4.1 Your ownership

You keep ownership of the content you create and post, including playbooks, guides, portfolio items, comments, and reviews ("User Content").

4.2 License you grant to us

To operate the Service, you grant StackHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute your User Content, and to promote the Service using it. This license lasts as long as your content is on the Service and, for content others have forked or copied, for as long as those copies exist. It ends for new uses when you delete your content, subject to Section 4.4.

4.3 Forking and public content

If you publish content publicly, you allow other users to view it and, where you enable it, to fork it and adapt it for their own use. You are responsible for setting the visibility and permissions on your content. Do not publish anything you are not allowed to share.

4.4 Copies and caching

After you delete content, copies may remain in backups, caches, or in forks and copies other users made before deletion. We are not required to remove those.

4.5 Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You confirm that you own it or have the rights to post it, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, or harmful.
  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Upload malware or attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Scrape, harvest, or copy data from the Service except as expressly allowed.
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
  • Post false, misleading, or manipulative reviews or ratings.
  • Infringe intellectual property or violate the rights or privacy of others.
  • Resell or exploit the Service in ways these Terms do not permit.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Payments, subscriptions, and payouts

6.1 Paid plans

Some features require a paid plan (for example a "Pro" subscription). Prices and what each plan includes are shown at checkout or on our pricing page. Fees are charged in advance and, unless the law requires otherwise, are non-refundable.

6.2 Subscriptions and renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. We may change prices with advance notice, effective on your next renewal.

6.3 Buying content and training

When you buy a playbook, guide, course, or training from another user, you get the access described on the listing. Digital content is delivered immediately, so you may waive any withdrawal or refund right once access begins, except where the law says otherwise.

6.4 Selling on StackHub

If you sell content, training, or job postings, you set your prices within our rules and confirm you have the right to sell what you list. We (or our payment processor) collect and pay out your earnings minus our fees and any applicable taxes. You are responsible for your own taxes. We may withhold or reverse payouts in cases of fraud, chargebacks, refunds, or policy violations.

6.5 Payment processor

Payments are handled by third-party processors such as Stripe. By paying or getting paid through the Service, you also agree to their terms. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

6.6 Taxes

Prices may not include taxes. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases or sales.

7. Affiliate links and tool listings

StackHub features software tools and may earn affiliate commissions or other compensation when you sign up for or buy those tools through our links. This does not add cost to you. Featured placement, rankings, or listings may be paid. We label paid or sponsored placement where required, but you should do your own evaluation before choosing any tool. We are not responsible for third-party tools or their performance.

8. Jobs and hiring

Employers can post jobs and search profiles; candidates can apply and share portfolios. StackHub is a venue only. We do not employ anyone, do not verify the accuracy of postings or profiles, and are not a party to any hiring decision or employment relationship. You are responsible for complying with all employment and anti-discrimination laws.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service itself, including its software, design, logos, and branding, belongs to StackHub or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service as intended by these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the Service except as the law allows.

10. Copyright and takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@stackhub.me with enough detail to identify the work and the content at issue, your contact information, and a statement of good-faith belief. We will respond as required by applicable law, including the DMCA, and may remove infringing content and terminate repeat infringers.

11. Third-party services

The Service links to and integrates with third-party websites, tools, and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, practices, or availability. Your use of any third party is governed by that third party's terms and policies.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content, tool, playbook, or job listing is accurate, reliable, or fit for your purpose.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, StackHub and its officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StackHub from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses for existing copies, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnification) will survive.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Belgium, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brussels, unless mandatory local law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

EU/EEA and UK consumers: Nothing in these Terms removes rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

18. General

  • Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce a right, that is not a waiver of it.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
